ELIMINATED
The innocent
looking 19 year old from Chicago, Illinois, finds herself the
judges' first choice to be eliminated from the competition. Having
been one of two girls to be introduced to the others later in New
York City, Tessa struggled with her place in the social politics of
the loft. Her performance at the rooftop photo shoot for J. Lo
swimwear was not stellar, and when the judging had arrived, the
panel could not find much to be enthusiastic about. On her way out
the loft, a tearful Tessa remarked, "I tried, and you can't do any
better than that. And everything happens for a reason, right?"

A QUESTION OF SEXY: KATIE OUT OF THE
RUNNING
At another
tumultuous judging and elimination session, the tough panel of
judges named Katie, 21, from Glenview, Illinois, their next choice
to go home. The beautiful Katie never shied away from using sex
appeal in her runway walks and photo shoots. Her confidence in her
sensuality found itself in full bloom at a Stuff magazine
shoot, where she nimbly hooked her finger into the strap of her
bikini bottom. The sexy pose won her few fans among the judges, who
determined that ultimately, it was more worthy of a calendar girl
than a fashion model. On her way out, a still-confident Katie
declared, "I'll be on the covers of magazines. You'll see."

Episode 3: The Girl Who Gets Rushed to the Emergency Room

NICOLE PHONE HOME: IT'S TIME TO GO
In the third
elimination of the competition, the strikingly beautiful Nicole, the
22 year old from Murrieta, California, was eliminated after a
tumultuous ride. Having faced an emotional confrontation on the
phone with her boyfriend over his lack of availability to her,
Nicole refused an opportunity to go to an important social event.
When the judges' verdict was announced, Nicole said, "I don't have
any regrets at all. There's definitely a relief that I'm going home,
and it's a small one, and that would probably be just to be with my
boyfriend."

Episode 4: The Girl Who Drives Everyone Crazy

TOO MUCH TO HANDLE: EBONY'S OUT
After a trying
elimination, 24-year-old Bronx native Ebony Haith was the next girl
to leave the penthouse. After a difficult few days that included
confrontations with Giselle, a controversial visit from her
girlfriend and a tough commercial shoot, Ebony was devastated to
leave the competition, and did so without saying goodbye to the
other girls.

Episode 5: The Girl Who Everyone Thinks Is Killing Herself

ISELLE CASTS OFF
At the fifth
elimination session, 18-year old dancer Giselle Samson of Corona,
California, was eliminated from the competition. Facing a torrent of
criticism regarding her lack of self-confidence, Giselle had
expected the decision, but being dismissed was still tough on her.
"My mom, I know she's going to rub it in my face," she explained,
"because if I'm coming home, it's because I didn't do so well here."

Episode 6: The Girl Who Deals with a Pervert

KESSE BIDS AU REVOIR
In fabled and
stunningly beautiful Paris, France, Kesse, 21, from North Little
Rock, Arkansas, became the sixth girl to be eliminated from the
competition. Kesse flourished in Paris, dancing in subway cars and
shopping in luxurious shops, even when a modeling challenge called
her attention. Told that she lacked "fire," Kesse was cut, as both
the girls and the judges were overcome with tears. Having formed
tremendous bonds with the other girls, Kesse explained, "It hadn't
really felt like a competition, 'cause we had been having so much
fun hanging out." In her final moments, Kesse was overcome with
emotion as reality dawned that for her, the competition was truly
over.

Episode 7: The Girl Who Get Really Naked

ADIEU TO ROBIN
Back in New York
after a bittersweet stay in Paris, 26-year-old Robin, from Memphis,
Tennessee, became the seventh girl to be eliminated from the
competition. In Paris, she battled with Elyse and Adrianne over the
day's itinerary and missed the mark in two couture competitions. But
when Robin refused, on moral grounds, to participate in a photo
shoot, Tyra exposed contradictions between her words and her
actions. As she left the penthouse, Robin reflected on her
experience: "It's meant a lot to me to be a part of this, because I
had a chance to show a variation of beauty."

ADRIANNE RULES THE RUNWAY: ANTM REVEALED
"The judges have
reached a decision; one of you is about to be a star in a matter of
minutes. Your life is going to change." With those words, Tyra Banks
announced Adrianne, 20, from Joliet, Illinois, America's Next Top
Model. Weeks of grueling competition, high emotions and a trip
halfway around the world had brought the Illinois native to this
pinnacle moment. Reeling and crying from the triumph, Adrianne
exclaimed, "I want to have a good life now. My family's going to
have a good life. A lot is going to change. And it kicks so much
ass!"
